This is how the Super Rugby ladder looked at the conclusion of the Super Rugby Pacific regular season in 2022.

The Highlanders picked up the crucial eighth spot to make the finals after a dramatic final round where a bonus point was enough to see them across the line over the Force despite the two finishing on equal points. A superior for and against record going the Highlanders way.

It was the first year of the new competition with new teams the Fijian Drua and Moana Pasifika joining the Australian and New Zealand teams.

Tie-breaking Rules
In the event of two or more teams being equal on competition points for any position, either during or at the end of the season, such position will be decided upon using the following steps until the tie is broken:
(a) Most wins from all matches;
(b) Highest aggregate points difference from all matches;
(c) Most tries from all matches;
(d) Highest aggregate difference of total tries for versus tries scored against from all matches;
(e) Coin toss.
