NBL Round 8 Double Dribble: Import merry-go-round in full swing, Breakers dudded by hectic travel toll
you wont hear disagreement from me on that – all 3 received ultra harsh penalties, my point is now is not the time to be criticising CA when he’s so close to having ban erased
Not totally meaningless: The few things Australia can glean from ODI series win over England for World Cup tilt
according to the telstra tracker which has recorded player speeds for the past four years, Addo-Carr has achieved the fastest speed each season. It is an impossible debate comparing historical players but he would be up there with Martin Offiah, Mike Cleary, Ken Irvine, Larry Corowa, Shane Whereat among the fastest of all time
25 in 25: Best winger of NRL era - Morris, Foxx, Sailor, Hazem, Blacklock, Folau, Johnston, Tuqiri?
The Andrew Voss rule – many wingers prior to that coming in would have a lot more four-pointers under that interpretation
25 in 25: Best winger of NRL era - Morris, Foxx, Sailor, Hazem, Blacklock, Folau, Johnston, Tuqiri?
Yes.
‘Big cost for families to keep turning out’: Marnus admits crowded schedule turning fans away
considered Marika but he only really had 2 full seasons where he was elite, which was surprising, before he went to rugby

there’s an alternate universe where Glenn Maxwell has a career like Andrew Symonds
Agar getting his turn could be another unlucky break for Maxwell’s chances of Australian return in any format
it’s definitely a potential option but the fact that he’s had a three-year gap in first-class cricket means it’d be a massive gamble to play him in a Test as a second or third spin option … he was going to try to play the upcoming Shield games for Vics v Tas & NSW but sadly that is no longer an option & he probably won’t play at all again until after touring squad for India is picked
Agar getting his turn could be another unlucky break for Maxwell’s chances of Australian return in any format
Ozinsa he’s more likely to get another chance than not but his form in both white-ball arenas the past 12 months hasnt been to his usual high standard … the Test recall theory that’s been floated recently is pie in the sky stuff IMO
Agar getting his turn could be another unlucky break for Maxwell’s chances of Australian return in any format
not easy being a spinner in Perth, but he definitely needs to bring it down and show more to be a chance of getting ahead of Swepson as second Test spinner option
Agar getting his turn could be another unlucky break for Maxwell’s chances of Australian return in any format
Marnus, Maxi & Marcus should all be nervous about their ODI spots. No.6 seems low for Cam Green in the order, shouldnt be long before he’s bumped up a spot or 2
Agar getting his turn could be another unlucky break for Maxwell’s chances of Australian return in any format
Todd Payten switched him to fill in at fullback last year, everyone thought he was crazy but Granville did a solid job
25 in 25: Best recruit of NRL era - Thurston, Inglis, Tedesco, Fitzgibbon, Cook, JWH, Fifita, Kimmorley?
MWeyman another in that category
25 in 25: Best recruit of NRL era - Thurston, Inglis, Tedesco, Fitzgibbon, Cook, JWH, Fifita, Kimmorley?
Widdop and Ben Hunt were considered but you can’t include every name – both have been decent at the Dragons on big-dollar deals but weren’t able to get the team into title contention
25 in 25: Best recruit of NRL era - Thurston, Inglis, Tedesco, Fitzgibbon, Cook, JWH, Fifita, Kimmorley?
a very good recruit, left the mighty Steelers because Rodwell & McGregor were in front of him, well before the NRL era though so doesn’t count in this thought experiment
25 in 25: Best recruit of NRL era - Thurston, Inglis, Tedesco, Fitzgibbon, Cook, JWH, Fifita, Kimmorley?
he was a very good player at four clubs without necessarily being the main go-to guy
25 in 25: Best recruit of NRL era - Thurston, Inglis, Tedesco, Fitzgibbon, Cook, JWH, Fifita, Kimmorley?
was very close to putting him and Beau Scott in
25 in 25: Best recruit of NRL era - Thurston, Inglis, Tedesco, Fitzgibbon, Cook, JWH, Fifita, Kimmorley?
there’s so many more that deserve a mention as well as people like paul gallen who was recruited from parra lower grades to cronulla but had to draw the line somewhere
25 in 25: Best recruit of NRL era - Thurston, Inglis, Tedesco, Fitzgibbon, Cook, JWH, Fifita, Kimmorley?
the NRL already has a national reserve-grade competition for players not good enough for the 17 premiership teams, it’s called the Super League. It doesnt need another 1

everyone apart from the ICC seems to want a streamlined schedule with fewer meaningless bilateral series
RIP, one-dayers: Time has come for T20 to wipe 50-over games from international calendar
the format where the T20 World Cup started with 8 teams qualifying for 4 spots while the automatic qualifiers played meaningless warm-up matches (some official T20Is and some not) was confusing to casual cricket fans.
